It is with great excitement that we announce your new PTO Officers for the 2012-2013. At our general membership meeting we elected the following to serve the PTO next year:

Mission Statement

Any parent with children in Dunwoody Elementary School can join our school’s PTO – and they should! The mission of our PTO is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff of Dunwoody Elementary School. Our efforts serve to enhance and maximize the education of every child while aiding them in achieving their highest potential.
The PTO sponsors assistance to teachers in the classroom setting, raises monies for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children.
It is our belief that the team effort of a parent-teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children. We hope you will become a member of our PTO today.
To join, please put a check payable to the DES PTO for $5 in the PTO mailbox located at the entrance to the school with your name and contact information. We will send you your membership card which will serve as your admittance as a member at all PTO general membership meetings. During these meetings, only members may vote on issues related to the PTO as well as the Nominating Committee members and slate for the new officers of the PTO Board.
